Automation QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Automation QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with QA engineers, software developers, architects, Dev Ops engineers, and product managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

This role requires strong automation expertise, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Analyze application logs, events, and system behavior to identify issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Collaborate with development and Dev Ops teams to improve product quality and release efficiency.
- Validate application performance and stability across different environments.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and ensure automated tests are integrated into release processes.
- Track, manage, and report defects using Jira and other quality management tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience





- 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing.
- Strong experience in test automation framework development, test planning, STP (Software Test Plan), and STD (Software Test Design).
- Hands-on experience with Selenium Automation.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD implementations.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, or C#.
- Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with PyTest or similar automation testing frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Service Now.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience testing applications deployed on Cloud Platforms.
- Good understanding of SQL, database validation, and basic database setup activities.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to Retail Banking, Digital Banking, Payments, or Financial Services applications.
- Understanding of customer experience and business workflows.
- Experience working with microservices and API testing.
- Self-driven, quick learner, and capable of thinking outside the box.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cooperative environment.

Education

- B.E. / B. Tech / MCA or equivalent qualification.
