The Project Manager – Engineer is a hybrid technical and operations leadership role responsible for managing engineering projects, coordinating internal execution teams, handling client communication, planning deliverables, and ensuring successful project completion. This role is ideal for engineering-driven companies handling technical visualization, industrial animation, engineering communication, machinery/process presentations, CAD coordination, or industrial execution projects. The candidate will act as the bridge between management, clients, engineering teams, and creative execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage engineering and visualization projects from start to completion
- Coordinate with animation, rendering, scripting, and engineering teams
- Conduct internal project review meetings and cross-department workflow coordination
- Handle client meetings, technical discussions, revisions, and approvals
- Manage project schedules, deadlines, and delivery planning
- Create and maintain project workflows using Zoho Projects or similar tools
- Support scope finalization and requirement gathering
- Review technical quality before final delivery
- Ensure projects are aligned with client expectations at every stage
- Track productivity, targets, and team performance
- Identify project risks and execution bottlenecks proactively
- Coordinate approvals, corrections, and revisions efficiently
- Support SOP implementation and ongoing process improvement
- Maintain documentation and communication records




- Work closely with the CEO for operational planning and reporting

What This Role Actually Looks Like Day-to-Day

This role sits at the heart of a fast-moving industrial 3D visualization and animation company. On a typical day, you may be managing 3-5 concurrent client projects – ranging from 3D machinery walkthroughs and process simulation videos to industrial explainer animations for manufacturing clients. You will review storyboards with the creative team in the morning, jump on a client call to clarify revision feedback in the afternoon, and close the day by updating project trackers and reporting progress directly to the CEO. You will not be doing the animation or modeling yourself – but you must understand it well enough to review quality, estimate timelines, and communicate confidently with both the internal team and the clients.

Required Skills

- Good understanding of engineering workflows and industrial processes
- SolidWorks understanding preferred (review and coordination, not pure modeling)
- Project coordination and planning capability across multiple simultaneous projects
- Client handling, presentation skills, and professional communication
- Task management, execution follow-up, and accountability
- Problem-solving and strong ownership mindset
- Understanding of industrial animation / visualization project workflows is an advantage
- Knowledge of Zoho Projects or similar project management tools

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Mechanical Engineer or related engineering background
- 3-7 years of experience in project coordination or engineering operations
- Experience in client-facing communication and technical execution
- Robust ownership and accountability mindset – self-driven, minimal hand-holding required
- Leadership and coordination capability with cross-functional teams
- Experience managing project deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously




- Preference for candidates from: engineering services, automation, CAD support, industrial animation, technical communication, or engineering consultancy companies
