Role - IT Demand Planning(IT Hardware Experience)

Role & Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

- Manage end-to-end demand planning and forecasting activities based on sales trends, market requirements, historical data, and business inputs.
- Review and validate Bottom-Up Planning (BUP) inputs received from relevant stakeholders.
- Consolidate inputs from Sales, Product Category, SCM, Factory, and Finance teams to finalize consensus demand.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and identify gaps to improve planning effectiveness.

PSI & Rolling Planning

- Manage Production, Sales, and Inventory (PSI) planning to maintain the right balance between demand and supply.
- Prepare and maintain rolling forecasts and planning cycles.
- Identify potential demand-supply gaps and coordinate with relevant teams for timely corrective actions.
- Ensure product availability while maintaining optimum inventory levels.

NPI / EOL Lifecycle Management

- Support demand and supply planning for Recent Product Introduction (NPI).
- Plan inventory and supply requirements during product launches and phase-out periods.
- Monitor product lifecycle movements and coordinate with relevant teams to avoid excess, shortage, or obsolete inventory.

Factory Allocation & Shipment Management





- Coordinate factory allocation based on demand requirements, production capacity, and business priorities.
- Track production and shipment status to ensure timely product availability.
- Coordinate with factories and SCM teams to resolve supply and shipment-related issues.

Inventory & Stock Management

- Monitor inventory levels across products and identify excess, slow-moving, and shortage situations.
- Support inventory optimization while ensuring adequate stock availability.
- Analyze inventory trends and recommend corrective actions to improve inventory efficiency.

Sales & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Sales, Product Category, SCM, Factory, and Finance teams to align demand and supply plans.
- Coordinate inter-departmental activities to ensure smooth execution of business plans.
- Understand customer and market requirements and incorporate relevant inputs into demand planning.

Reporting & Performance Management

- Prepare regular reports related to demand, forecast accuracy, PSI, inventory, shipments, and supply status.
- Track key planning and operational performance indicators.
- Present planning insights, risks, and action plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Use MS Office and other planning tools to manage data, analysis, and reporting.
