Roles & Responsibilities

Set the strategic direction for the MEP design department aligned with firm objectives

Own overall project delivery quality across HVAC, Fire Safety, ELV, and Plumbing disciplines

Manage client relationships, pre-sales presentations, and contract negotiations

Review and approve all major design submissions, BOQs, and technical proposals

Drive capability building, hiring decisions, and team structure

Ensure compliance with NBC 2016, NFPA, ASHRAE, IS codes, and client standards

– Coordinate with project GM, site teams, and third-party consultants (TAC, structural, etc.)

– Monitor department Strength & Weakness, man-hour allocation, and project margins

– Mentor design manager and ensure succession readiness

– Resolve technical escalations and inter-discipline conflicts





– Lead TNC/technical negotiation meetings with clients and vendors

– Approve make/brand selection for major MEP equipment

Key Performance Areas

– On-time delivery of design milestones across projects

– Client satisfaction scores and repeat business rate

– Design error rate and revision cycles post-submission

– Department performance and planning efficiency

– Recruitment and retention of key technical staff

– Compliance audit scores on submitted designs

– Number of technical escalations resolved at department level

– Recent project wins supported by design team
