Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Purchase skilled with 12+ years of experience, preferably from an NABL-accredited analytical/testing laboratory or similar scientific/technical organization, to lead procurement activities across multiple laboratory disciplines.

The candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement of laboratory instruments, analytical equipment, chemicals, reagents, reference materials, consumables, spares, AMC/CMC and other technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end procurement of laboratory instruments, chemicals, consumables and technical services.
- Understand laboratory technical requirements and evaluate specifications, quotations and competing technologies.
- Handle procurement of instruments such as HPLC/UHPLC, GC/GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-OES/ICP-MS, AAS, UV-Vis, FTIR, Raman, TOC, Karl Fischer, dissolution testers, particle-size analyzers, microbiology equipment, UTM/material-testing equipment, textile-testing instruments and other specialized analytical systems.
- Develop and manage OEM, distributor and supplier networks, including vendor evaluation and alternate-source development.
- Negotiate price, delivery, warranty, AMC/CMC, installation, calibration, validation, training and after-sales service.




- Prepare/review CAPEX proposals, ROI, payback, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), asset lifecycle and depreciation considerations for major equipment purchases.
- Coordinate with Finance/Accounts on GST, TDS, vendor billing, invoice verification, capitalization and payment-related matters.
- Ensure procurement processes support NABL/ISO 17025 requirements, including appropriate documentation, traceability, supplier evaluation and quality requirements.
- Manage procurement budgets, inventory levels, critical consumables and purchase MIS.
- Drive cost optimization, procurement efficiency, vendor performance and process controls.

Candidate Profile

- 12+ years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in an NABL-accredited laboratory, analytical/testing laboratory, pharmaceutical, food, chemical, environmental, research or other scientific/technical organization.
- Strong negotiation, vendor-management and strategic sourcing skills.
- Working knowledge of ROI, CAPEX/OPEX, depreciation, TCO, GST/TDS and vendor accounting formalities.
- Exposure to NABL/ISO 17025 requirements will be an advantage.
- Good analytical, communication, leadership and decision-making skills.
- Experience with ERP/procurement systems and MS Excel.
