Must Have Technical Skills – Network (Firewall, Load balancer, Switch, Wireless etc)
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
- Architecting, creating, managing and maintaining Network health for clients (as defined by SLA)
- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, Nexus Switches , WAN accelerators, DNS , DHCP and Cisco ACI
- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
- Provide formal corporate communications on directional changes or changes that will impact existing services
- Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Arranging scheduled upgrades
- Investigating faults in the network
- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
- Reporting network status to key stakeholders
- Leadership & Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical end users and senior stakeholders
- Customer-facing experience – comfortable engaging with end users and clients professionally and empathetically
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage SLAs and drive team performance
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
Good-to-Have • Experience with VDI / virtual desktop environments
- Understanding of application packaging and deployment
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification
- Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents
