Role Overview

We are looking for a Microsoft Fabric Data Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric implementation and Microsoft Purview to design, implement, and govern enterprise-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building up-to-date data architectures, implementing Microsoft Fabric solutions, and establishing data governance, metadata management, and compliance frameworks using Microsoft Purview.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement end-to-end enterprise data architecture using Microsoft Fabric.

- Build and optimize Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines, and Data Engineering solutions.

- Lead Microsoft Fabric implementation projects from architecture through deployment.

- Design scalable data models, semantic models, and analytics solutions for business reporting.

- Implement Microsoft Purview for enterprise data governance, cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage.

- Establish data governance policies, business glossary, data classification, and stewardship processes.

- Ensure data quality, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance across the data ecosystem.

- Integrate Microsoft Fabric with Azure data services and Power BI for enterprise analytics.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI teams,



and architects to deliver scalable data solutions.

- Optimize platform performance, scalability, and cost while following Microsoft best practices.

Required Skills

- 5–7 years of experience in Data Engineering/Data Architecture.

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric implementation.

- Expertise in Lakehouse, OneLake, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering, Dataflows Gen2, and Real-Time Analytics.

- Strong experience with Microsoft Purview, including:

Data Catalog

Data Lineage

Metadata Management

Business Glossary

Data Discovery & Classification

Data Governance Frameworks

- Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and ETL/ELT pipeline development.

- Experience with Power BI integration and semantic modeling.

- Knowledge of Azure Data Services (ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory).

- Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, security, compliance, and data quality principles.

- Excellent stakeholder management, solution design, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or equivalent Azure certifications.

- Microsoft Purview certification or relevant Data Governance certification.

- Experience with enterprise cloud migration and modern data platform modernization initiatives.

- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for data platforms.
