Role & responsibilities
- Overseeing the overall health and appearance of gardens, lawns, trees, and other green areas within a real estate development.
- Implementing maintenance schedules for plants, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control.
- Managing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution.
- Identifying and addressing pest and disease issues in plants, potentially using both organic and conventional methods.
- Working with other teams (e.g., landscape architects, construction crews) to implement landscaping plans and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Client Interaction:
- In some roles, liaising with clients (e.g., residents, property managers) to understand their needs and preferences for landscaping.
- Managing budgets for horticultural projects and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Implementing sustainable landscaping practices to minimize environmental impact.
- Maintaining records of plant care schedules, maintenance activities, and inventory.
- Solid understanding of plant care, soil management, pest and disease control, and landscaping techniques.
- Practical experience in planting, pruning, irrigation, and other landscaping tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors.
- Ability to identify and resolve plant health issues and other landscaping challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- In some roles, the ability to supervise and train other horticulture staff.
Preferred candidate profile
Experienced required 10-15 Years in Horticulture (Real Estate)
