About the Role:

We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Python and SQL to join our growing data team at Knowledge Foundry.

This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who enjoys working with real-world datasets, solving complex analytical problems, and converting raw data into meaningful business insights.

You will work across data extraction, data cleaning, transformation, exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, reporting, and business intelligence, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Python and SQL are core requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities :

- Extract, clean, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources using Python and SQL.
- Write complex and optimized SQL queries involving joins, CTEs, subqueries, aggregations, and window functions.
- Use Python, Pandas, and NumPy for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
- Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, relationships, anomalies, and business opportunities.
- Conduct data-quality checks and investigate missing, inconsistent, or anomalous data.
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and data-driven insights.
- Build meaningful reports, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate findings.
- Work with stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver accurate solutions.
- Develop and improve data-processing, ETL, and analytical workflows.
- Automate repetitive data-analysis and reporting activities using Python and SQL.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations in a clear and business-friendly manner.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to solve complex data-related problems.

Required Skills:

- 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Data Analysis, Business Analytics, or a related field.




- Strong hands-on proficiency in Python for data analysis.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, and query optimization.
- Strong experience with Pandas and NumPy.
- Good understanding of data cleaning, transformation, aggregation, and validation.
- Strong understanding of Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA).
- Good knowledge of statistics and analytical techniques.
- Experience working with relational databases and large datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to independently investigate data and derive meaningful insights.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, or similar databases.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT and data-pipeline concepts.
- Basic understanding of APIs and automation scripts.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
- Experience working with data warehouses or cloud-based data platforms.

Education
