We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Officer - Global Product Sourcing (NPD) to lead sourcing and supplier development activities supporting New Product Development (NPD) and commercialization initiatives. The role will partner with cross-functional teams including R&D;, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to ensure successful and timely product launches.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in strategic sourcing, contract manufacturing, supplier development, cost optimization, and product commercialization within a GMP/FSSAI-regulated environment.

Role & responsibilities

New Product Development & Sourcing

- Lead sourcing activities for new product development projects from concept to commercialization.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard ingredient suppliers, packaging vendors, and contract manufacturers.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments covering quality systems, regulatory compliance, capacity, technical expertise, and financial viability.
- Partner with R&D; and Marketing teams to support innovation and supplier-driven product ideas.

Commercialization & Project Management

- Manage sourcing workstreams for new launches, reformulations, product transfers, and technology transfers.
- Drive project timelines, risk assessments, mitigation plans, and launch readiness activities.
- Coordinate pilot batches, scale-up trials, validation runs, and commercialization efforts.
- Ensure seamless communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Cost & Supplier Management

- Lead commercial evaluations, cost modeling,



and supplier negotiations.
- Drive cost savings, value engineering, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, service, innovation, and compliance metrics.
- Conduct supplier business reviews and continuous improvement programs.

Risk & Compliance

- Identify supply, quality, operational, and regulatory risks.
- Develop contingency sourcing and business continuity plans.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FSSAI, quality, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- 5-8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Contract Manufacturing, Vendor Development, Supply Chain, or NPD Sourcing.
- Experience working within GMP/FSSAI-regulated manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to new product launches and commercialization projects.
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of food, nutraceutical, healthcare, or consumer health products.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

- Experience in Nutraceuticals, Food, Consumer Healthcare, OTC, Wellness, or Pharma industries.
- Knowledge of GMP, Quality Systems, Regulatory Compliance, and Supply Chain processes.
- PMP, Six Sigma, or Project Management certification is an advantage.

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Food Technology, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Master's Degree / PMP / Six Sigma Certification is an added advantage.
