Job Summary

The Multi-Skilled Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted warehouse operations. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on warehouse equipment and facility systems.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical faults.

Maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors, dock levelers, pallet handling systems, and automated warehouse equipment.

Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, compressed air systems, and fire safety equipment.

Support maintenance of warehouse automation systems, including motors, sensors, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, and control panels.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize operational downtime.

Conduct routine inspections and identify potential equipment failures before they occur.

Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.

Coordinate with warehouse operations to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.

Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and other workplace safety procedures.

Assist with installation, commissioning,



and modification of new equipment and facility upgrades.

Maintain good housekeeping in maintenance areas and ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

2–5 years of maintenance experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial setting.

Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, control panels, and industrial wiring.

Experience with mechanical maintenance, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and conveyors.

Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, VFDs, and automation systems.

Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing maintenance is preferred.

Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs as required.

Preferred Skills

Root cause analysis (RCA).

CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience.

Knowledge of warehouse automation systems.

Basic welding and fabrication.

MS Office proficiency.

Safety awareness and compliance with industrial standards.

Equipment uptime and availability.

Breakdown response and resolution time.

Preventive maintenance compliance.

Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
