Responsible for assisting the kitchen team with daily food preparation and misen place, including Chinese prep, Indian prep, Pantry prep, vegetable cutting, meat and poultry preparation, sauces, marinades, gravies, salads, sandwiches, garnishes and other basic kitchen preparations.
Support chefs during service by keeping ingredients and workstations ready, follow standard recipes, portion control, FIFO, proper food storage, labeling and hygiene practices.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils and equipment, minimize food wastage, follow food safety and HACCP standards, and coordinate effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and effective kitchen operations.
