GeM Tender & Pre-Sales Specialist

Role Objective

Drive end-to-end management of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal and government tenders, ensuring seamless alignment between complex RFP/RFQ requirements and internal manufacturing and supply capabilities, complemented by high-impact executive presentations and financial modeling.

Required Skill Sets

- Hands-on expertise in navigating and operating the GeM portal, including catalog management, bidding, and compliance.
- Proven experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting government RFP, RFQ, and tender documents.
- Strong aptitude for mapping technical specifications and tender terms with internal manufacturing and supply chain capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial calculations, cost modeling, and competitive pricing analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to lead high-stakes solution presentations to government officials and enterprise clients.
- Expertise in creating compelling product presentations, item lists, descriptions, and market-aligned sales collaterals.

Minimum Educational Eligibility

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration,



Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA or relevant professional certifications in Sales, Bidding, or Pre-Sales are preferred.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities

- Monitor the GeM portal daily to identify, track, and evaluate relevant tenders, bids, and reverse auctions.
- Perform rigorous analysis of RFP/RFQ documents to understand technical expectations, scope, SLA terms, and statutory compliances.
- Assess tender feasibility against internal manufacturing capacity, product catalogs, and supply lead times.
- Compile, verify, and submit comprehensive response documents within strict deadlines while managing all pre- and post-bid queries.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel to build accurate cost estimations, itemized pricing sheets, and margin models.
- Design and structure qualified presentation decks, product specifications, item imagery, and descriptions tailored to current market demands.
- Lead formal solution and bid defense presentations to government evaluators and key stakeholders.
