About the RoleWe are a fast-growing distribution business currently in a scaling phase, and we are looking for an Dispatch Executive who can take end-to-end ownership of Procurement, Inventory and Dispatch operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily dispatch operations.
- Ensure orders are picked, checked, billed and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff, delivery personnel and other relevant teams to ensure smooth order movement.
- Maintain accurate stock and dispatch records and ensure system stock is aligned with physical stock.
- Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages or discrepancies to the concerned team.
- Prepare daily/weekly dispatch and inventory reports.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the billing/accounts team to ensure invoices and billing are completed correctly before dispatch.
- Use inventory, billing and dispatch software accurately and coordinate with the IT/software team when system issues affect operations.
- Support procurement and inventory planning by providing information on stock levels and upcoming requirements.
- Take ownership of timely and accurate order dispatch.
- Identify operational issues and suggest improvements to dispatch and warehouse processes.
Requirements
- Good attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Basic understanding of inventory, billing and invoicing.
- Comfortable working with inventory/billing software.
- Good organisational and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapid-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate warehouse/delivery staff.
- Prior experience in dispatch, warehouse, FMCG, distribution, wholesale or retail operations is preferred.
- Willingness to take ownership and learn additional responsibilities as the business grows.
Overtime will be paid.
This role is best suited for someone who wants to learn the complete supply-chain and distribution operation, take ownership, and grow along with a rapidly scaling business.
