Explain product quality, ingredients, usage, benefits and pricing clearly.

Drive daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.

Upsell and cross-sell relevant products—for example, oils with spices, millets with flours, honey with jaggery, etc.

Handle billing/POS and cash/card/UPI payments accurately.

Maintain proper product display, shelf arrangement and pricing labels.

Ensure shelves are always adequately stocked and report low-stock items.

Receive and arrange fresh stock and support inventory counting.

Check product expiry/best-before dates and follow FIFO.

Handle customer queries, feedback, exchanges and complaints professionally.

Inform customers about current arrivals, offers and promotions.

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and overall presentation of the store.

Maintain daily sales and other required store reports.

Build relationships with regular customers and encourage repeat purchases.
