The Solar Sales Executive will be responsible for converting solar leads into qualified opportunities and customers. The role requires proactive calling, customer consultation, regular follow-ups, site-visit coordination, proposal explanation, negotiation and sales closure.
The employee is expected to take end-to-end ownership of assigned leads rather than only making calls.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Management
- Contact every current lead promptly.
- Understand the customer's electricity consumption, bill, property type and solar requirement.
- Maintain accurate lead information in CRM/lead sheet.
- Categorize leads as Hot / Warm / Cold / Not Interested.
- Ensure no lead is left without a next action.
2. Calling & Customer Communication
- Maintain approximately 2.5–3 hours of productive calling/customer conversation time per day.
- Explain EnergyBae's solar solutions clearly.
- Handle initial customer objections.
- Follow up with customers through phone and WhatsApp.
3. Lead Qualification
The salesperson should determine:
- Monthly electricity bill.
- Consumer category.
- Property type.
- Available roof/installation area.
- Ownership/permission status.
- Current electricity connection.
- Solar requirement.
- Convert qualified leads into site visits.
- Coordinate with the technical/site-visit team.
- Collect required information before the visit.
- Ensure the customer is available during the scheduled visit.
- Follow up after the site visit.
5. Proposal & Sales Closure
- Explain solar proposals to customers.
- Explain system capacity, generation, savings, subsidy, financing and payback.
- Coordinate with the technical team for customer questions.
- Negotiate within approved company limits.
- Follow up until the customer makes a decision.
- Collect required documents and advance/payment after approval.
6. Customer Follow-up
Every qualified lead must have a defined next action.
