Position: ITI Motor Mechanic Cum Driver

Job PurposeTo perform vehicle driving, inspection, basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vehicles used for testing and other operational requirements.
- Key ResponsibilitiesDrive and operate vehicles safely as per operational and testing requirements.
- Perform basic inspection, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of vehicles.
- Assist in vehicle preparation and maintenance before and after testing activities.
- Support vehicle testing and track testing activities as required.
- Monitor vehicle condition and report any mechanical issues, abnormalities, or breakdowns.
- Perform basic repair and replacement of mechanical components.
- Maintain daily vehicle inspection, maintenance, and testing records.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean, protected, and roadworthy condition.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, traffic rules, and organizational guidelines.
- Coordinate with engineers and technicians during vehicle testing and maintenance activities.
- QualificationITI – Motor Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Mechanic from a recognized institute.
- Relevant technical knowledge of automobile systems and vehicle maintenance.
- ExperienceRelevant experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Experience in vehicle/track testing will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience working in automotive testing facilities, workshops, or R&D; environments will be preferred.
Driving Licence – MandatoryCandidate must possess valid driving licences for the applicable vehicle categories:
- 2-Wheeler / 3-Wheeler Licence
- 4-Wheeler / LMV Licence
- Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Licence
Candidates must have valid and applicable licences for the vehicles they will be required to operate.
- Required SkillsBasic knowledge of automobile mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of vehicle safety and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to identify basic mechanical faults.
- Good driving skills and road safety awareness.
- Ability to work effectively with engineers and technical teams.
- Willingness to work at vehicle testing/track testing facilities.

Preferred ProfileITI Motor Mechanic candidates with valid 2/3-wheeler, 4-wheeler/LMV, and Heavy Motor Vehicle licences, along with experience in automotive/vehicle maintenance and track testing, will be preferred.
