Pharmacist – Clinic Pharmacy

Location: Bangalore

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Centre Manager

Role Purpose

Ensure safe, accurate dispensing and strong inventory discipline while delivering a premium, patient-friendly pharmacy experience within a digitally enabled clinic environment.

Core Responsibilities

- Safe & Accurate Dispensing
- Dispense medicines strictly as per prescription with mandatory double-check for look-alike/sound-alike (LASA) drugs.
- Review prescriptions for dosage accuracy, duplication, and interaction red flags.
- Escalate clinical concerns to the prescribing doctor before dispensing.
- Ensure zero compromise on dispensing accuracy.
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels for fast-moving and essential SKUs.
- Monitor expiry dates and implement FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) discipline.
- Plan reorders to prevent stock-outs while minimizing overstock.
- Conduct daily stock reconciliation and variance checks.
- Compliance & Storage Controls
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements (billing, invoices, schedule drugs handling).
- Maintain proper storage conditions, including temperature monitoring for cold-chain products.
- Always keep pharmacy documentation audit-ready
- Patient Counselling & Service
- Provide clear guidance on dosage,



timing, storage, and adherence.
- Explain potential side effects where appropriate.
- Support patients with substitution guidance (where policy permits).
- Maintain a skilled, courteous patient interaction at all times.
- Returns & Expiry Management
- Track near-expiry inventory and coordinate timely liquidation or vendor returns.
- Manage damaged/returned medicines as per SOP.
- Ensure zero expired products are dispensed.

KPIs

- Zero dispensing errors
- Stock-out rate for top SKUs within defined threshold
- Inventory variance/shrinkage within tolerance limits
- Zero expiry or cold-chain compliance incidents
- Positive patient feedback on counselling experience

Experience & Qualifications

- B. Pharm / D. Pharm with valid state registration (mandatory).
- 2–6 years in retail or hospital pharmacy preferred.
- Experience in structured, process-driven environments is an advantage.
