WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS

This role exists to close the gap between what the data says and what the teams do about it — and to be the connective tissue between founders, functional heads, investors, and the tech team.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

1. Cross-Functional Business Initiatives

• Drive new business initiatives end-to-end, working across Revenue, Field Ops, EPR, Finance, and Tech — you are the person who makes sure an initiative doesn't die in a Monday call and actually gets built.

• Own the initiative tracker — status, blockers, owners, and dates — and chase functions that are falling behind, not just report that they are.

• Scope current initiatives with the founders before rollout: define the problem, the success metric, and who owns execution.

• Run structured step-back / retro sessions on closed initiatives so learnings actually change how the next one is run.

2. Data Analysis & Insights

• Pull together data across business lines (Revenue, EPR, Field Ops, Finance) and turn it into insight — not just charts, but a clear “so what” for the founders.

• Build and maintain the core trackers and dashboards that the business runs on — vendor performance, MT volumes, margin by line, funnel conversion.

• Flag anomalies and risks proactively — a metric moving the wrong way should reach the founders from you before it reaches them from someone else.

• Maintain a single source of truth for company metrics so numbers in a founder call, an investor deck, and a team review never contradict each other.

3. Weekly & Monthly Reviews

• Prepare the weekly data pack ahead of the Monday review call — KRs, RAG status, and the two or three numbers that matter most that week.

• Prepare the monthly business review — performance against OKRs,

trend lines, and a short narrative on what changed and why.

• Standardise the reporting format across functions so every team is reporting against the same definitions and cadence.

• Own follow-through on action items from reviews — track them to closure, not just to the next meeting.

4. Investor Relations

• Prepare the investor update — progress against each strategic initiative, company growth metrics, and burn/runway — on a set cadence agreed with the founders.

• Maintain the data room and keep investor-facing metrics current so the founders are never scrambling before a call.

• Translate operational detail into the growth narrative investors care about, without losing accuracy in the process.

5. Tech Coordination

• Be the business-side point of contact for the tech team on app launches, releases, and feature updates.

• Translate business requirements into clear specs the tech team can build against, and translate technical trade-offs back to the founders in business terms.

• Track app-related KRs — adoption, uptime, bug resolution — and escalate slippage early rather than at the review.

• Coordinate UAT and rollout so launches don't disrupt live vendor or transaction activity.

6. PR, Partnerships & Marketing

• Own PR releases end-to-end — drafting, founder sign-off,

and distribution — so the company's public narrative stays consistent.

• Identify and drive industry partnerships that support growth, EPR credibility, or brand positioning.

• Own marketing initiatives that build inbound demand and brand presence, coordinating with any external agencies or freelancers involved.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• The founders walk into every Monday and monthly review with numbers already prepared, correct, and explained — no chasing required.

• Every active business initiative has a live owner, a clear status, and a next step at all times.

• Investors receive updates on the agreed cadence, with metrics that tie back cleanly to the internal trackers.

• Tech releases ship on schedule with business requirements captured correctly the first time.

• PR, partnerships, and marketing activity is visible, on-brand, and tied to a business outcome — not activity for its own sake.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2–5 years of experience in business analysis, strategy, consulting, or a similar cross-functional role — startup or high-growth environment strongly preferred.

• Strong with data — comfortable in Excel/Sheets at an advanced level; SQL or BI tool experience is a plus, not a requirement.

• Sharp written and verbal communication — able to write an investor update and a PR release in the same week without either sounding like the other.

• Comfortable working directly with founders, holding functional heads accountable, and operating with incomplete information.

• Organised by default — owns trackers, deadlines, and follow-ups without needing reminders.

• Comfortable working in office, full-time, with founders directly.
