Job Responsibilities – Bank Branch Clerk

1. Customer Service

- Attend to customers’ queries and provide accurate information.
- Assist customers with account opening, deposits, withdrawals, and other banking services.
- Maintain a skilled and courteous relationship with customers.

1. Cash & Transaction Support

- Handle cash deposits, withdrawals, and other routine transactions as assigned.
- Verify customer documents and transaction details.
- Ensure accuracy in cash and transaction records.

1. Account & Documentation

- Process account opening and account-related requests.
- Verify KYC documents and maintain proper records.
- Update customer information and account details in the banking system.

1. Data Entry & Record Keeping

- Enter daily transactions and customer information accurately into the system.
- Maintain registers, files, vouchers, and branch records.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of banking transactions.

1. Banking Operations

- Assist with clearing, fund transfers, cheque processing,



and other branch activities.
- Support senior branch staff in day-to-day banking operations.
- Follow all bank policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

1. Reconciliation & Reporting

- Assist in daily transaction and account reconciliation.
- Prepare routine branch reports and statements.
- Identify and report discrepancies to the concerned officer.

1. Compliance & Security

- Follow KYC, AML, customer verification, and internal control procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and banking information.
- Ensure transactions are processed according to authorized procedures.

1. General Branch Support

- Coordinate with other departments and branch staff for smooth operations.
- Assist in maintaining branch records and customer service standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Branch Manager or senior management.
