Role Description The Senior Collections Manager will lead and manage collection operations, focusing on optimizing recovery across multiple portfolios and client segments. This full-time, on-site role is based in Mumbai and involves overseeing collection strategies, setting targets, and monitoring performance to ensure alignment with client objectives and internal policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising collection teams, reviewing complex cases, coordinating with legal and advisory partners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The Senior Collections Manager will analyze collection data, prepare performance reports,



and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and cash flow. The role also requires building strong client relationships, mentoring team members, and supporting the development of technology-enabled collection solutions.
Qualifications

- Strong expertise in debt recovery, portfolio management, and end-to-end collection processes.
- Experience in legal collection management, skip tracing, and coordination with legal counsel or external partners.
- Proficiency in credit monitoring, risk assessment, and debt advisory practices.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate collections teams, with proven people management skills.
- Advanced analytical skills, including data interpretation, reporting, and use of collection tools or CRM systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Sound understanding of relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Several years of progressively responsible experience in collections or credit control, preferably in a leadership role.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, target-driven workplace and making informed decisions under pressure.
