About the role

You will join QA team, responsible for building and maintaining Python-based test automation for the platform/VM layer of SD-WAN controllers (Manager, Controller, Validator). This is the senior individual-contributor role on the team — you'll set patterns for how the test automation framework is structured, without formal people-management duties.

Responsibilities

- Python Automation - 5 to 7 yrs of experience with networking experience
- Pune location preferred, with fallback on Bangalore
- Working with large enterprise experience
- Overlap in US working time

- Design and maintain the core Python test automation framework used across the platform/VM layer
- Build and execute automated tests validating controller deployment, configuration, and lifecycle at the platform level
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines




- Define reusable test patterns and utilities other engineers on the team can build on
- Perform manual and exploratory testing where automation coverage is still developing
- Collaborate with backend and UI test automation engineers to keep the framework consistent across layers

Requirements

- Strong Python skills, including experience designing test automation frameworks (pytest, robot, or similar)
- Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, VPN/IPsec; SD-WAN (Viptela/Catalyst) experience is a robust plus
- Experience with CI/CD integration for automated tests
- Comfortable working independently with light internal guidance rather than external leadership
- Senior-level experience in test automation / SDET roles

Cisco certifications: CCNA and CCNP
