Job Summary

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising daily floor operations, ensuring excellent guest service, coordinating with kitchen and service staff, and maintaining high standards of hygiene, presentation, and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth restaurant functioning during service hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate restaurant floor operations during shifts.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, professional, and courteous service.
- Train, guide, and motivate service staff to maintain service standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth order flow and timely service.
- Monitor table setup, cleanliness, and restaurant ambiance.
- Assist in staff scheduling and shift management.




- Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and company SOPs.
- Maintain inventory of service-related items and report shortages.
- Support restaurant management in achieving sales and operational targets.
- Monitor billing accuracy and support cash handling procedures when required.
- Ensure proper grooming and discipline among team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality service operations.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer handling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valuable knowledge of food service standards and hospitality etiquette.
- Problem-solving and multitasking capabilities.
- Basic understanding of POS systems and billing procedures.
