Position: VMC Operator

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible VMC Operator to operate Vertical Machining Centre machines and perform precision machining as per drawings, process sheets, and required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operate VMC machines for machining of components as per production requirements.
Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
Set tools, workpieces, fixtures, and machine parameters as required.
Perform tool setting, offset correction, and basic machine adjustments.
Monitor machining operations and ensure required dimensional accuracy.
Conduct in-process inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
Identify machining defects and take necessary corrective actions.
Maintain proper production records, tool records, and inspection reports.
Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, fixtures, and components.




Follow production schedules, safety procedures, 5S, and quality standards.
Perform basic machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.

Required Skills
Good knowledge of VMC machine operation and tooling.
Knowledge of G-code/M-code and CNC machining processes.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.;
Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and offsets.
Positive knowledge of measuring instruments.
Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and dimensional issues.
Positive discipline, attention to detail, and willingness to work in shifts.

Experience
2–5 years of relevant experience as a VMC Operator in a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
Candidates with experience in Fanuc-controlled VMC machines will be preferred.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
