Core Teaching & Technical Instruction
Technique and Adavus: Break down foundational steps (adavus), body postures (araimandi), and footwork rhythms (talam).
Abhinaya and Expression: Instruct students in facial expressions (navarasa), eye movements (drishti), and storytelling gestures (mudras).
Theoretical Knowledge: Teach the history, Sanskrit slokas, mythology, and musical framework behind the repertoire.
Demonstration and Correction: Physically model accurate angles and line geometry (rekha) while giving real-time constructive feedback.

Curriculum & Class Management
Lesson Planning: Design age-appropriate and skill-tiered syllabi for kids, teens, or adults in group or individual settings.
Warm-ups and Conditioning: Lead physical conditioning and cool-down routines to prevent joint and muscle injuries.
Progress Tracking: Maintain meticulous records of attendance, periodic evaluations, and individual student advancement.
Inclusive Workplace: Foster discipline, peer teamwork, and confidence inside the studio.

Performance & Production Responsibilities
Choreography: Compose traditional or thematic items, dance sequences, and full-length stage productions.
Event Preparation:



Train and drill pupils for school functions, cultural festivals, local competitions, and formal debut recitals.
Stage Coordination: Manage costume selection, traditional jewelry, makeup styling, and backstage logistics during shows.
Musical Collaboration: Coordinate with vocalists, percussionists (nattuvangam or mridangam players), or recorded audio tracks.

Administrative & Mentorship Duties
Parent Communication: Update parents regularly on student development, exam registrations, and performance readiness.
Cultural Mentorship: Uphold the values of the mentor-student bond (guru-shishya parampara) to nurture holistic artistic appreciation.
