Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Planning Engineer with 10+ years of experience in planning and project controls for large-scale industrial construction projects. The candidate should have robust hands-on expertise in Primavera P6, project scheduling, progress monitoring, documentation, material coordination, and MIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, including WBS, baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress updates.
Monitor project progress against planned schedules and identify delays, critical activities, and schedule variances.
Maintain project documentation including MDR, MDL, drawing revisions, RFIs, submittals, and transmittals.
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, and vendors for smooth project execution.
Track procurement, material requirements, vendor deliveries, logistics, inventory, and PO status.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports, dashboards, progress reports, and MOMs.




Support project teams in identifying schedule risks, bottlenecks, and recovery actions.
Maintain accurate project records and ensure timely updating of planning and documentation systems.
Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure planned activities are executed within schedule.

Required Skills
Mandatory: Strong hands-on experience in Primavera P6.
Advanced MS Excel and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Working knowledge of MS Project and SAP/ERP systems.
Exposure to Aconex, BIM 360, Procore, or other EDMS/document management systems.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in planning for industrial/EPC/PMC projects, particularly:
Manufacturing Plants
Power Plants
Steel & Cement Projects
Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Projects
Refineries and other large-scale industrial construction projects

Ideal Candidate: A planning skilled with robust Primavera P6 expertise and proven experience handling schedules, documentation, procurement/material tracking, progress monitoring, and cross-functional coordination on large industrial projects.
