JOB DESCRIPTION – QC MICROBIOLOGIST

Department: Quality Control
Position: QC Microbiologist

Job Purpose

To perform microbiological testing of Namkeen, Ice Cream, Frozen, Bakery, Milk & Milk Products and ensure products meet required quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct microbiological testing of Raw Materials, In-Process Materials, Finished Products and Water.
Perform tests for TPC, Yeast & Mold, Coliform, E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and other applicable microorganisms.
Monitor microbiological quality of Milk, Milk Products, Ice Cream, Frozen, Bakery and Namkeen.
Conduct environmental monitoring of Production Areas, Equipment, Surfaces and Personnel.
Maintain proper sampling, testing and laboratory records.
Identify and immediately report OOS / microbiological contamination to QC/QA Head.
Maintain and monitor Microbiology Laboratory Hygiene and Sterility.
Handle media, cultures,



chemicals and laboratory equipment safely.
Ensure proper calibration/verification and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
Follow GMP, GLP, HACCP, SOP and Food Safety Standards.
Support investigation of microbiological quality issues and corrective actions.
Coordinate with Production, QA and other departments for quality improvement.

Qualification

B.Sc./M.Sc. Microbiology, Food Microbiology or related field.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
