Role & responsibilities
Preparation of Purchase formats, purchase documents, Purchase Order for Import vendors with SAP, customs MIRO & inbound delivery update with SAP.
Monitoring the shipment status of ETD from supplier to ETA at our Factory, In this freight forwarder selection, CHA co-ordination, Check list verification & BOE filing, Duty payment and shipment clearance etc. 3. Understanding of custom tariffs, duty structures, Incoterms, and port handling procedures.
Co-ordinate with Cross Functional Team (CFT) to meet the customer SOP for Recent products & daily requirements
Ensure adherence to domestic EXIM policies and automotive import standards.
Process and verify Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and Bill of Entry.
Interpret changes in Free Trade Agreements (FTAs),



duty structures & notifications to leverage duty advantages
Work closely with Customs House Agents (CHAs) for timely clearance through ports
Coordinate purchase orders with global suppliers and track vessel/air movements until delivery to the plant
Preparation of Weekly, Monthly & Yearly MIS.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in import operations, preferably within the manufacturing, engineering, or automobile sector. Skills Required: SAP MM (Material Management) module for PO creation, scheduling agreements, and inventory tracking and advanced MS Excel.
