Role Description The Library Assistant will support the efficient daily operations of the TSM library, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment for students, faculty, and staff.



Key responsibilities include managing circulation activities such as issuing, returning, and renewing materials, maintaining accurate records in the library management system, and assisting users with locating and accessing print and digital resources. The role involves shelving and organizing collections, supporting cataloging and classification tasks, and helping with inventory, stock verification, and basic maintenance of library materials. The Library Assistant will also provide front-desk support, respond to information queries, and assist with orientation sessions and other library outreach activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ramanathapuram.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in library operations, including Library Services and Circulation.
Knowledge or academic background in Library Science or a related discipline.
Effective Communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
