We are seeking an experienced and strategic Production Operations functional head to lead and manage our jewelry manufacturing operations. Primary responsibilities include formulating and implementing operational strategies, driving process efficiencies, improving production output, and ensuring quality — thereby enhancing overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in manufacturing leadership within the Gems & Jewelry (G&J;) industry and experience leading cross-functional teams toward continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Leadership
Formulate the Annual Production Performance target and implement overall operational strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Provide robust leadership and guidance across the production function.
Serve as a confident decision-maker, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Manufacturing & Operations
Execute annual manufacturing plans (AOP) and daily/monthly production schedules.
Ensure production targets are met as per daily, weekly, and monthly schedules; drive output volumes in alignment with delivery commitments, inventory norms, and quality benchmarks.
Ensure manufacturing consistently meets efficiency targets across machine productivity, material and labor utilization, and overhead control.
Ensure process losses remain within set parameters and standards.
Ensure quality control at each stage of production, applying a First-Time-Acceptance (FTA) approach to reduce internal rejections and customer returns.
Monitor manufacturing performance (budgeted vs. actual) and initiate improvement strategies for growth, including lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, JIT, and Kanban.
