Role Description The Associate Manager – Direct Tax is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. This role involves managing direct tax assignments, including tax planning, tax compliance, and tax preparation for corporate clients, particularly Japanese and other international businesses in India. The associate manager will review tax computations and returns,



interpret and apply relevant tax laws, and support tax assessments, audits, and advisory projects. Responsibilities include coordinating with clients and internal teams, preparing technical memos and documentation, and ensuring timely and accurate submission of all direct tax-related deliverables. The role also requires monitoring regulatory changes, contributing to process improvements, and supporting the team in developing best practices in direct taxation.
Qualifications
Solid expertise in tax planning and tax strategy, with the ability to optimize direct tax positions within applicable regulations.
Proficiency in tax compliance and tax preparation, including preparation and review of tax returns and related filings.
Solid understanding of tax law and direct tax regulations, with practical experience applying tax legislation to corporate situations.
