Role Overview
We are looking for a Category Manager – Retail to own category performance, assortment, inventory health, and in-store execution across a growing retail network.
The role will work closely with store operations, DC/warehouse teams, sourcing teams, and brand/vendor partners to ensure the right assortment is available at the right stores and at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
Category & Assortment Management
Own assortment planning for assigned categories based on customer demand, store performance, and market trends.
Identify assortment gaps and coordinate with sourcing/brand teams to address them.
Plan and execute category launches, seasonal ranges, and in-store promotions.
Monitor category performance and recommend assortment improvements.
Performance & Inventory Management




Track category-level sales, margins, stock-outs, overstocks, wastage, and inventory health.
Analyse sales trends and inventory data to improve category profitability.
Work with DC and store teams to ensure product availability across locations.
Recommend pricing, promotion, and assortment corrections based on performance.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with brand/vendor partners on fill rates, new launches, schemes, and in-store visibility.
Manage vendor relationships and support commercial discussions where required.
Work closely with Store Operations, VM/CX, Marketing, Sourcing, and DC teams for effective category execution.

Requirements
2–4 years of experience in Category Management, Retail Merchandising, Buying, or Merchandise Planning.
Experience in Retail, FMCG, D2C, or E-commerce.
Strong understanding of assortment planning, inventory management, and retail merchandising.
