We’re Hiring: Sous Chef | Sorano, Kolkata

Sorano is looking for a strong Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team in Kolkata.

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, disciplined and passionate about food — a chef who can lead a busy kitchen alongside the Executive Chef, maintain consistency, develop the team and ensure that every plate leaving the kitchen meets Sorano’s standards.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience in a high-quality restaurant kitchen
• Experience with Italian / European cuisine
• Excellent command over kitchen operations, prep and service
• Strong understanding of food quality, consistency and presentation
• Ability to train, supervise and motivate junior chefs
• Good knowledge of food costing, wastage control, hygiene and kitchen systems
• Calm and organised during high-volume services




• Someone who is willing to cook, lead from the front and take ownership

This is an key leadership position within the Sorano kitchen, with an opportunity to work closely with our senior culinary team and grow with the brand.
