nDesignation: Associate Professor – Psychology
nPreferred Educational Qualification:
nMaster’s Degree in Psychology / Applied Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Counselling Psychology or a related discipline with a consistently valuable academic record. Ph.D. in Psychology or a related discipline is desirable and preferred as per applicable UGC norms.
n

nExperience:
nMinimum 8–12 years of teaching, academic, research, or relevant qualified experience in Psychology, with demonstrated experience in higher education, research, student mentoring, and academic administration.
n

nRole Summary:
nThe Associate Professor – Psychology will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students, contributing to curriculum development, and promoting research, innovation, and academic excellence within the Psychology program. The role requires solid subject expertise, research orientation, effective academic leadership, and the ability to integrate contemporary psychological theories, practices,



and emerging areas into teaching and learning. The faculty member will actively contribute to student development, research initiatives, institutional activities, and the overall growth of the Psychology department.

nRoles and Responsibilities:
n• Deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, workshops, and other academic activities for undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
n• Develop, review, and update course content to incorporate contemporary psychological theories, research findings, applications, and emerging trends.
n• Mentor and guide students in academic projects, dissertations, internships, research activities, career development, and higher education opportunities.
