5–10 years of progressive experience in Property Accounting (PA).
Prior experience in US Real Estate / Property Accounting strongly preferred.
Robust command of month-end close procedures, including maintaining close workpapers, variance analysis, correct income/expense classification, accruals and prepaids, fixed assets, management fees, bad debt analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Proven ability to review income statements and balance sheets to identify risks and issues, and to clearly summarize the drivers of financial statement fluxes.
Sound judgment in reviewing expenses and determining appropriate capitalization versus expense treatment.
Proficient in MS Excel, with preferable working knowledge of ERP systems such as JDE, Yardi, MRI, Oracle, or SAP.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with US-based stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
Proven ability to work independently in an individual contributor (IC) capacity, managing deliverables end-to-end with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to take on ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B. Com/M. Com/MBA-Finance) required; CPA, CMA, or CA (Inter) is a plus."
Willingness to work in US Shift hours, starting at 5:00 PM IST / 6.00 PM IST.
