Estimation & Costing

Sarjan Architects & Project Consultants is looking for a Civil Engineer with 2–4 years of relevant experience to join our team in Vesu, Surat, Gujarat.

Civil Engineer – Estimation & Costing
Experience: 2–4 Years
Location: Vesu, Surat, Gujarat

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed estimates and cost calculations for civil construction projects.
* Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and carry out accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
* Analyse material, labour, equipment and construction costs.
* Prepare project budgets, rate analyses and contractor/vendor quotations.
* Review drawings and specifications to identify quantities, scope and cost implications.
* Coordinate with architects, consultants, site teams, contractors and suppliers for estimation and costing requirements.
* Assist in project planning, cost monitoring and cost control.
* Verify quantities, rates, measurements and bills submitted by contractors, wherever required.
* Maintain and update rate databases,



estimates and cost records.
* Support tender preparation, comparison of quotations and other commercial aspects of projects.

Requirements

* Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
* 2–4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in estimation, costing, quantity surveying or construction.
* Strong knowledge of civil construction estimation and costing.
* Good understanding of BOQs, quantity take-offs, rate analysis and measurement procedures.
* Sound knowledge of construction materials, methods and specifications.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
* Good working knowledge of MS Excel and proficiency in AutoCAD.
* Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
* Good communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with project teams.
