Role Description The English Language Editor internship role at Research Ramp is an on-site position based in Kolkata. The intern will review, edit, and refine academic manuscripts to ensure transparent, accurate, and fluent English, while preserving the intended meaning and technical content. Daily tasks include checking grammar, syntax, punctuation, and style consistency; improving sentence structure and readability; and aligning manuscripts with target journal guidelines. The intern will collaborate with senior editors and subject-matter experts, provide constructive language feedback to authors, and maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards in handling research documents.
Qualifications
Strong command of English language, including excellent grammar, vocabulary, and academic writing style.
Experience or training in editing and proofreading academic or technical content; familiarity with journal publishing conventions is an advantage.
