Overview

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable HR Labour Compliance Assistant/Deputy Manager to join our team HR Compliance Team in India. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of hands-on experience in labour compliance, a deep understanding of Indian labour laws, and a passion for fostering a fair, ethical, and compliant workplace. This position reports to the Head of Statutory Compliance.

Responsibilities:




Statutory Compliance & Advisory:
Act as the subject matter expert on Indian labour laws affecting the IT/ITES sector (including but not limited to: Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, EPF & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, Employees' State Insurance Act, Maternity Benefit Act, Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Apprentices Act).
Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in labour legislation and assess their impact on business operations.
Offer expert guidance and recommendations to HR partners, management, and employees on all matters of labour compliance.
Draft, review, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure alignment with statutory requirements.
