Role Summary

The Python / AI Developer will work under the guidance of the Senior Architect-Developer to build, test and deploy AI-enabled, reusable components and services for NeGD projects, with a robust focus on hands-on GenAI/LLM implementation.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices using Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django).
Build AI/GenAI-enabled features including LLM integration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, embeddings generation and vector search.
Develop and maintain reusable APIs, services, SDKs and common components for use across multiple NeGD projects.
Integrate third-party and open-source LLMs / AI models into enterprise applications, including prompt design and evaluation.
Write clean, well-tested, well-documented and maintainable code following defined architecture and coding standards.




Collaborate with the Senior Architect-Developer on system design, technical decisions and code reviews.
Participate in unit testing, integration testing and deployment activities for the components developed.
Troubleshoot, debug and optimize application performance, including AI/LLM response latency and accuracy.
Document technical designs, APIs and reusable components for adoption by other project teams.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

3–5 years of strong, hands-on Python development experience.
Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with microservice architectures.
Mandatory hands-on AI/GenAI implementation experience (not limited to theoretical knowledge) — actual project/product experience required.
Practical experience with LLM integration, RAG pipelines, embeddings and vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate).
Experience developing reusable APIs, services and components intended for use across multiple appli
