The Senior Engineer – Gas Turbine Combustion design is responsible for formulating, planning, independently leading and executing combustion NPI and Fleet projects with complete ownership of mechanical design, it’s schedule and quality of deliverables. In this role, You will provide leadership to resolve critical combustion design issues from engineering perspective, hardware issues, manufacturing issues, qualifications and variable cost out initiatives. This role will provide prospect to apply creativity, imagination to develop combustion system for world class gas turbine engines considering cost, reliability, operability and emissions.

Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and execute the Mechanical design of combustion system for gas turbine engine, using sound engineering principles and adhering to the business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
Own and solve business challenging programs, RCAs and supplier/manufacturing issue with proactive approach working independently/with team.
Demonstrate component ownership mindset and self-driven approach to understand fleet history, issues and its resolutions. Detailed 2D/3D analyses and leveraging fleet experience as required to evaluate and mitigate component and system level risks.
Think beyond existing technical solution, evaluates technical options and owns the accountability of the selected path forward.
Drive and contribute towards variable cost productivity for combustion components.
Proactively collaborate with cross functional teams – Aero Thermal, operability, services and system team for system level optimization.
Develop component design/technology improvement road map by understanding the fleet history.
Proactively identifies, promotes and champions continuous improvement opportunities for qu
