Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Server Support Engineer with hands-on experience in server hardware, operating systems, virtualization platforms, and infrastructure support. The candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of enterprise server environments. The ideal candidate should possess robust technical expertise in Linux, Windows, VMware, server hardware management, and basic networking concepts.

Key Responsibilities
Server Hardware Management
Perform server assembly, disassembly, rack mounting, cabling, installation, and replacement of hardware components.
Diagnose and troubleshoot server hardware issues including:
Motherboards
CPUs
Memory (RAM)
Power Supplies (PSU)
RAID Controllers
Hard Drives (SAS/SATA/NVMe)
Network Interface Cards (NIC)
Execute preventive maintenance activities for server infrastructure.
Coordinate hardware upgrades and replacements with minimal downtime.
Operating System Administration
Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows Server operating systems.




Perform OS deployment, patching, updates, and system optimization.
Troubleshoot operating system performance, boot failures, service outages, and configuration issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and system security policies.
Virtualization Support
Install, configure, and manage VMware environments.
Monitor virtual machines and host resources.
Perform VM provisioning, cloning, migration, backup, and recovery activities.
Troubleshoot virtualization-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
Infrastructure & Server Deployment
Deploy and configure physical and virtual servers according to project requirements.
Configure RAID levels (RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10) based on application requirements.
Perform firmware, BIOS, and driver upgrades.
Support storage integration and server provisioning activities.
Remote Server Management
Manage servers through:
IPMI
Dell iDRAC
HPE iLO
Lenovo XClarity (preferred)
Perf
