We are seeking a Social Safeguards Specialist to support the social design and implementation of our Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) projects. This role will focus on community engagement, participatory planning, and ensuring that project implementation aligns with robust social safeguards and impact goals. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Design and facilitate Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and other participatory techniques to understand community needs, priorities, and local context.
Design and implement Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) processes with project communities.
Support training and capacity-building initiatives for farmers, community members, and local partners.
Conduct social and economic impact assessments to measure project outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Facilitate convergence with government schemes and local development initiatives where relevant.
