Collection Centre Buyer – Fruits & Vegetables
The Collection Centre Buyer will be responsible for sourcing fresh fruits and vegetables from farmers, FPOs, traders, aggregators, and local suppliers. The role focuses on procurement, quality control, price negotiation, supplier relationships, and timely dispatch of produce to distribution centres.

Key Responsibilities
Procure fruits and vegetables according to daily procurement plans and demand forecasts.
Build relationships with farmers, FPOs, aggregators, and local vendors.
Negotiate purchase prices while maintaining fair trade practices and profitability.
Inspect produce for quality, freshness, size, maturity, and company standards.
Monitor market arrivals, price trends, and seasonal availability.
Manage weighing, grading, sorting, and recording of produce.
Coordinate with logistics teams for timely transportation.
Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, supplier details, and payment documentation.
Minimize procurement losses through proper handling and quality control.
Resolve supplier issues and maintain consistent supply.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company procurement policies.
