Role Summary
Provide legal documentation and advisory support to the Bank across transaction banking, wealth management, technology contracts, vendor agreements, with a strong focus on electronic payments, payment eco-system, and regulatory compliance under applicable RBI regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate documentation for cash management and transaction banking products, including electronic payment solutions.
Advise on legal aspects of electronic payments, clearing and settlement mechanisms, and compliance with the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.
Support wealth management business through client agreements, distribution contracts, and product documentation.
Draft and negotiate vendor and commercial contracts, including outsourcing and professional services agreements.
Handle IT and technology contracts, including software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, data processing, and fintech partnerships.
Advise business, operations,



compliance, and risk teams on RBI regulations, internal policies, and regulatory developments.
Responsible for new product launches and new product note approval process.
Ensure standardisation of documentation, process efficiency, and adherence to internal legal and risk frameworks.
Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and engagement with regulators and external counsel, as required.

Key Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in banking and transaction documentation
Sound understanding of electronic payments, the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, and RBI regulatory framework
Practical exposure to RBI, SEBI, and IFSCA regulations
Demonstrated team leadership and people-management capability
Solid drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to balance legal risk with business and product objectives in a high-volume environment
