Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Summary
The Lab Technician – Idea Lab will support the day-to-day operations of the Idea Lab by maintaining equipment, assisting students and faculty during projects, ensuring laboratory safety, and facilitating innovation and prototyping activities.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and monitor Idea Lab equipment, tools, and consumables.
Assist students, faculty, and industry partners in using lab facilities and equipment.
Support prototyping, fabrication, and innovation projects.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and operational guidelines.
Maintain inventory records and coordinate procurement of lab materials.
Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate maintenance when required.
Prepare the lab for workshops, training sessions, competitions, and industry engagement activities.




Maintain documentation related to lab usage, equipment maintenance, and project support.
Qualifications
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in laboratory operations, makerspaces, innovation labs, or prototyping environments is preferred.
Skills Required
Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and tools.
Troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
Inventory and documentation management.
Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and industry representatives.
