Role Description The Senior Resident in Anesthesiology is a full time,



on-site position based at Kasturba Medical College and its affiliated hospitals in Mangaluru. The role involves providing perioperative anesthetic care, including pre-anesthesia assessment, intraoperative management, and post-anesthesia monitoring in operating theaters and procedural areas. Daily responsibilities include managing emergency and elective cases, assisting in pain management services, supervising and mentoring junior residents and students, and collaborating closely with surgical, critical care, and nursing teams. The Senior Resident is expected to participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and morbidity and mortality meetings, and to follow institutional protocols and national guidelines for patient safety and quality of care. The role may also include involvement in academic activities such as teaching sessions, clinical audits, and participation in departmental research initiatives.
