About the role
We're hiring a Lead Recruiter to own senior and business-critical hiring at SkilloVilla. This is a hands-on role with team responsibility. You'll close niche technical and leadership mandates yourself while guiding a small team of recruiters and partnering directly with founders and function heads on how we hire.
What you'll own
Drive end-to-end hiring for senior IC, technical, and leadership roles — from intake and market mapping to offer negotiation and closure
Lead and mentor a team of recruiters: goal setting, pipeline reviews, quality of shortlists, and capability building
Partner with hiring managers as an advisor, not a coordinator — challenge role definitions, set realistic hiring plans, and manage expectations on timelines and compensation
Build proactive talent pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, industry mapping, and community networks
Own hiring metrics: time-to-fill, offer-to-join ratio, quality of hire, source effectiveness — and use the data to fix what's leaking
Improve interview processes, structured evaluation, scorecards,



and candidate experience across the funnel
Manage employer branding inputs and drive closures in competitive offer situations
What we're looking for
5–6 years in talent acquisition, with a strong track record in technical and leadership hiring
Proven team handling experience — you've managed, reviewed, and coached recruiters
Demonstrable closures of senior and hard-to-fill roles
Strong direct sourcing skills across LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, and networks
Confident stakeholder management with senior leadership; comfortable pushing back with data
Sharp assessment ability — you can judge depth beyond the résumé
Experience with ATS platforms and hiring dashboards
Valuable to have
Exposure to hiring in [product / startup / EdTech / SaaS]
Experience setting up hiring processes from scratch or scaling a team quickly
Comfort with compensation benchmarking and offer structuring
