Teradata Database Admin Hybrid

We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer 3 with a solid focus on Teradata database engineering, complemented by exposure to cloud technologies, Unix, and shell scripting. In this role, you will lead and manage the systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area, ensuring high levels of availability and efficiency.

Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area.

Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure optimal systems and infrastructure availability.

Produce deployment, implementation, and run book plans.

Develop automation and release management tools, along with scripts necessary for software release construction, continuous integration, and deployment.

Research new software development methods and techniques for managing configurations based on business needs.

Utilize troubleshooting skills and collaborate closely with operations, support, engineering,



and other functions.

Ensure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for the supported area.

Proficient in Teradata database administration.

Strong experience in software infrastructure management and configuration management.

Excellent knowledge of various database platforms including SQL, Teradata, Oracle, and Exadata.

Familiarity with heterogeneous database structures or enterprise data warehouses.

Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Expertise in monitoring, ing, and dashboard solutions, along with batch support experience.

Proficient in SharePoint, JIRA, ServiceNow, and change/release management.

Understanding of data center operations, including production operations, server, storage, network, system management, and disaster recovery practices.

Experience with Agile methodologies and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
