Your future duties and responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL and data pipeline validation.
- Perform end-to-end (E2E), regression, and story testing for data engineering projects.
- Validate data transformations across source and target systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Execute source-to-target data reconciliation and identify data discrepancies.
- Develop and execute SQL queries in BigQuery for data validation and analysis.
- Review and analyze workflow execution logs from Composer/Airflow to troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
- Validate data movement processes using GCS and GoAnywhere/export logs.
- Collaborate with data engineers,
business analysts, and product teams to understand business requirements and define test scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple data sources.
- Support test planning, estimation, and reporting activities within Agile development teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of overall experience in Software/Data Testing.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in ETL/Data Testing.
- 3+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries, preferably using BigQuery.
- 3+ years of experience in Data Regression, End-to-End (E2E), and Story Testing.
- Robust expertise in source-to-target data reconciliation.
- Experience validating end-to-end data transformations and business rules.
- Hands-on experience with: BigQuery SQL, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Composer/Airflow log analysis
