Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for sheet metal parts and assemblies.
- Create cutting layouts for laser cutting, CNC punching, or plasma cutting.
- Prepare flat patterns and bending drawings with accurate dimensions.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure drawings are suitable for manufacturing.
- Modify and update drawings based on customer or production requirements.
- Check dimensions, material specifications, and tolerances before releasing drawings.
- Maintain drawing revisions and documentation.
- Assist in optimizing designs to improve production efficiency and reduce material wastage.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Draftsman Mechanical, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) is mandatory.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and sheet metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of laser cutting, CNC punching,
and press brake bending is an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software (preferred but not mandatory).
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of bend allowance and flat pattern development is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
